The study analysed 35 of the continent’s most-visited cities, looking at accommodation, food, internet costs and speed, public transport, safety and quality of life.

The results show that Kraków and Warsaw offer the best value for money when it comes to fast internet, accommodation and the cost of public transport, the Daily Mail reported.

Kraków, the second-largest city in Poland, performed particularly well in food affordability (£128 a month), internet costs (£13.94 a month) and safety (75.08 out of 100), scoring 161 points out of a possible 175.

The study found that cities in Central and Eastern Europe offer better conditions for remote work than those in Western and Northern Europe, with Budapest, Prague and Tallinn following Kraków and Warsaw.

The remaining cities in the top 10 are Madrid, Seville, Lisbon, Dubrovnik and Porto.
